Always the Last to Know

Book One of the Always the Bridesmaid series

Wearing a Maid of Honor dress that very well makes the South want to rise again, Jess Reynolds is prepared to walk down the aisle at her best friend’s wedding. It’s just that things keep getting in the way, like a sex-crazed coworker, an annoying brother-of-the-bride, and a handsome and horribly charming friend posing as the Best Man. As it turns out, Jess might just be the last one to know everything, including the workings of her own heart.

You can purchase Always the Last to Know at Amazon.com, in both paperback and Kindle editions. And if you have access to the Lending Library, you can even borrow it for free. FREE.

Always on the Run

My sister is marrying my ex-boyfriend.

When is an acceptable time to start day-drinking?

Jamie has tried for years to be in complete control of her life. She has to-do lists, calendars, and plans to keep her life running smoothly. The thing is, her life isn’t quite going along with her agenda: she got fired from her job as a charter bus driver (for something that was SO not her fault), her ex-boyfriend just popped the question to her older and perfect sister, and her crazy great aunt keeps fixing her up with stuck-up rich boys. For all the plans she makes, Jamie may come to realize it’s the moments in life that she never saw coming that are the ones to write down.

  1. This was a great book and I had many moments of laughter between Jess and Riley. It was a great read and I hope you keep writing more books! Please write more soon πŸ™‚

  2. Ok…so this was a fantastic book…so glad that I downloaded it to my kindle :o) I loved the story line and your humor throughout brought me so much joy. I can’t even tell you how excited I am to hear that there will be more…these characters…seriously what is not to love. Anyhow…great job…and so looking forward to reading more of your works. Congrats!!!

  3. I cant wait to read your next book. I almost peed my self when I was reading “Always the last to know”…I was laughing so hard! I forwarded the title to all my girlfriends to purchase on Amazon. Awesome book….

  4. I loved loved LOVED this book…it has definitely become one of my new faves. I have read it twice and it made me laugh just as much the second time. Your characters are unbelieveably relatable to the people in my life, and I saw so much of myself in Jess…I think it was the constant sarcasm, lol. I even had to suggest this book to my mother and my best friend…they both decided they loved it, too! I am super excited to see that another book is in the works!! Keep up the great work! You have definitely made a fan out of me πŸ˜‰

    1. Oh my God, Cara. You have no idea how much your comment means to me. One of my very favorite authors is Meg Cabot, and I’ve read most of her books twice (some a few more than twice), and I can’t even begin to explain how amazing it feels to know that someone has read my book more than once. Thank you so much for your kind words, and for recommending my book to others.

  5. I wanted to say that I really loved Always The Last To Know. I think it’s very hard to write humor and you did it so very well. I found the characters to be real and could easily relate to them which I think is important as a reader. I think I re-read the last 5 chapters so much that I can recite certain parts. LOL! I just feel in love with Riley and Jess. I can’t wait for the Always On The Run and am glad to see Jess will be in it as well. I was just hoping to see Riley and Jess get married. I’m not sure if that will be in this new book but if not I hope you plan on including it in the future. Thanks again for such a great story.

    1. I’m so happy you liked it, Laurie! I’ve had a few people say that they’ve gone back and reread bits and pieces, and you would not believe how it makes my day. Because I do that same thing to books that I love, and to know that people are doing that with MY book is an incredible feeling. Thank you so SO much for making my day with your sweet comment. πŸ™‚

  6. I am only on page 17 of Always the Last to Know and loved it so much already I stopped reading to check Amazon for a possible sequel. I immediately purchased Always on the Run. I just wanted to say a quick hello and I can’t wait to read other books you write in the future!!!! Now back to reading!!

  7. Love this series! Don’t want to spoil it for those who aren’t to the end yet so I’ll just say I can wait to read about the next couple. I really like that previous characters continue to pop up in the next book.
Crystal, your characters are real and relatable and their situations and dialogue are as well (well in my crazy life they could be lol). I thought Jess and Riley were my favorites, then I met Jamie, Cal and Millie and….
I just can not wait until “Always the Last Word” and everything that comes after!
